ABOUT THE AUTHORS   

            Joseph Emmrich was born in Cicinnati in 1947, shortly after the Age of the Dinosaurs. He attended Elder High School, the University of Dayton, and The Ohio State University College of Law. He worked as a Hamilton County Prosecutor for six years, where his friends said he “persecuted the innocent”. Later, after a two-year journey to Europe and Asia, he had long career as a Public Defender, where his friends said he “freed the guilty”. While the latter may have been technically true, since he just couldn’t win, he thought he should retire and travel (some more) and write.

            Joe has traveled to 47 states and 40 countries, and not been thrown out of any of them, nor even held for questioning, although the Iran scam could have come to a very bad end, had not the fall of the Shah made it unthinkable. (That’s a story soon to be told.)

            John, as the Author’s note explains, is requesting anonymity for now, although some day we may have a celebratory “Reveal”. You’ll learn a lot about him from the book, and you may recognize him from the photo gallery. But if you do, he asks that you respect his privacy for now. The Agency doesn’t need to know he’s out there.
